Amb. Anil Trigunayat (Retd.)
President, MIICCIA Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Fellow, VIF
Amb. Anil Trigunayat is a member of the Indian Foreign Service. He has served in the Indian Missions in Cote d’Ivoire, Bangladesh, Mongolia, USA, Russia, Sweden and Nigeria, Libya and Jordan. In the Ministry of External Affairs he has worked in the Economic, West Asia and North Africa and Consular Divisions. He also served as Director General/Joint Secretary for the Gulf & Haj Divisions in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. Thereafter, Amb. Trigunayat worked as Deputy Chief of Mission in the rank of Ambassador in the Embassy of India, Moscow Prior to his superannuation in May 2016, he served as Ambassador of India to Jordan and Libya and High Commissioner to Malta (June 2012 – May 2016). He is a post Graduate in Physics from the Agra/Kumaon University and also studied Russian History, Culture and Language at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. As a visiting fellow he also conducted research work on “WTO and Regional Trading Blocs” at the Oxford University. He is a member of the All India Management Association/Delhi Management Association as well as that of Oxford and Cambridge Society of India and the Association of Indian Diplomats (former Ambassadors). He is also the Honorary Member of the International Trade Council, Brussels.


Dr. Suman Sharma
Former Principal,

Dr. Suman Sharma completed her Ph.D in South Asian Studies, from the Centre for South East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India (2001) after completing her M. Phil. in Political Science from the University of Delhi in 1983. She has been closely associated with several social activities on women specific issues, particularly, activities pertaining to the widows of Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) and Women Self Help Groups in rural Delhi and Sawai Madhopur District in Rajasthan. Her deep commitment to the cause of the poor and vulnerable impelled her to teach in Anubhav Shiksha Kendra (a Centre for Children from a vulnerable section of society – slums) in Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram for several years in an honorary capacity. Her proactive scholarly pursuits have taken her to several international conferences on crucial and topical subjects. She was a member of the Indian contingent that participated in the launch of the Women’s Forum of India- Brazil-South Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2006 where she made a presentation on Women Self Help Groups in rural Delhi. She was an elected member of the Academic Council of University of Delhi for 2012 – 2014. She has also been actively associated with a number of Committees of the University of Delhi and the University Grants Commission. She also served as OSD-Principal in Dyal Singh College (Evening) of Delhi University.

Dr. Tripathi is the Founding Director of the Forum for Global Studies, a Delhi-based think tank fostering global policy research and dialogues. Currently, He is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of History and International Relations, Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don, Russia. Dr. Tripathi is the co-editor of the book titled ‘Technology, Energy and Warfare in Evolving Geopolitics’ published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, London, UK. An alumnus of Ewing Christian College, (University of Allahabad), Dr. Tripathi holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is empanelled as ‘Honorary Political Consultant’ at the Association of Mechanical Engineers of Kuzbass, Russia. He serves as a panelist – Foreign Affairs Expert | DD News, the Govt. of India. During India’s G-20 Presidency, he served as the G-20 Ambassador for Uttar Pradesh, contributing significantly to India’s international engagements. He has written extensively on India’s foreign policy, Russia, energy diplomacy, and the geopolitics of technology.
